US IN A NUTSHELL
We're all about Jesus. We are a multicultural, multi-generational, non-denominational community of born-again believers committed to Jesus-Christ and each other.
We see people:
finding themselves by finding Jesus;
learning to love one another because God first loved us;
valuing truth and thereby finding freedom;
choosing God's ways over their own;
sharing the hope of their salvation with others;
using their gifts to further the Kingdom of God.
THE BELIEFS WE LIVE BY
People who are part of Barrhaven Harvest Church believe that God exists, that He is the creator of the heavens and the earth and that human beings have a very special place in His heart above any other of His creatures.
OUR CHURCH LEADERS
Wayne and Melanie met at the French Église Baptiste Évangélique de Gatineau in the summer of 2001. Wayne had been an active member there for a few years when Melanie joined. They developed a friendship and ultimately married in late 2003.
They were graced with three wonderful children in the following four years. A desire to secure an education in a context that reassembled their values and efforts at home lead them to move to Barrhaven in 2014 so their children could attend Ottawa Christian School.
HOW WE USE TITHES AND OFFERINGS
At Harvest Church, we aspire to invest as much as possible in the Kingdom in these last days; we purpose to only invest in material insomuch as we are convinced by the Lord that they will help to further the work He has called us to.
Tithes and offerings will be used to cover administrative costs, rental fees, and other expenditures related to the spreading of the gospel (e.g. purchase and distribution of Bibles) and supporting pastoral work. We will respect standards of utmost integrity in handling the resources entrusted to us.
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galations 6:9
